Golden Goddess

The dress comprises dark red crushed taffeta and a black organza skirt. The main structural element in this ensemble is the reverse flower-shaped corset, with draped taffeta accentuating the shoulders and chest area. The bottom of the corset has an inverted scallop edge, with each point connecting to the black organza skirt. The main inspiration for this dress is derived from one of John Singer Sargent's portraits of Lady Helen Vincent, which was the main inspiration for the overall silhouette of the dress, mixed with elements of fetish wear.
